Dr. Barbara Ann Chidiac

When Barbara Ann was a young girl, her parents had to physically drag her away from any animal in her line of sight!  From her first budgie “Twinkle” at 5 years old, to her first dog “Jet Black” at 9 years old—a gift from her teacher that she <forgot> to tell same suffering parents about—to her first horse “Fire” at 11 years old, she continues to be fascinated with All Creatures Great and Small.

After receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1985, Dr. Chidiac has obtained further training in PennHIP, Veterinary Homeopathy, studied and practices Canine Reproduction, and continues to pursue Continuing Veterinary Education to the tune of over 100 hours per year.

Barbara Ann spends her personal time with her (wonderful, indulgent) husband John, children Anna, Carla, Robert and William, step-children Sara, Steven and Sean, dogs Lizzie, Christi, Celeste, Isis and Kobie, horses Hailey, Heart, Azura, Noah and Orisha, and Jersey the cat.

Dr. Willow Johnson

Willow got her start with animals at age 11 by showing her English Springer Spaniel, Darcy, in AKC conformation shows and competing in Junior Showmanship. Her interest in veterinary medicine was sparked when she worked as a veterinary technical assistant at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. Willow graduated summa cum laude from Kutztown University in the spring of 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She started at the Ontario Veterinary College the following fall and is a 2010 graduate.

Dr. Johnson decided that she liked Canada too much to leave and has happily joined the Chidiac Animal Hospital family. Her professional interests are reproduction, behaviour, acupuncture and dermatology.

Outside of work Willow enjoys reading, watching movies and spending time at the family cottage. She currently lives with her husband, David, and 2 cats, Akira and Bug.
